The 1900 census for Weatherford, Parker County, Texas, tells us thatAndrew was born there before his parents moved to Cooke County, wherethey were recorded with three children in 1910.  Andrew's parents weremarried in Weatherford in 1896.

Andrew appears to have been enumerated twice in this census, showingup again in Eastland County on 25 February.  He is in the household ofhis cousin, Elbert E Martin, son of Nancy E Jackson Yeary Martin.  Hisjob in Eastland is listed as Tank Setter in the Steel industry.  Wecan tell his and Elbert's work is related to the oil industry(matching Andrew's listing in Weatherford a month earlier), because ofthe high number of oil field workers in the town, and on the samepage.  One boarding house a few doors down has a large number ofsingle men working for an Oil Well Supply Company.

Several of us have been trying for many months (as of August 2009) todetermine the exact relationship of Andrew and his father James DanielGreen to the Jackson and the other Greens kin to the Jacksons.  Thisindication that Andrew is a cousin to Elbert seems to confirm a reportfrom Betty Jackson Hess that this family of Greens were kin to hergrandmother, Talitha Green Jackson, wife of Abraham Jackson.  Bettythought James Daniel was a son of one of Talitha's brothers, but didnot know which.  But neither the Jacksons nor the Greens of Talitha'sfamily have information about a nephew of hers that would match JamesDaniel.

In 1930 Andrew has married Essie L Johnson and they are living a fewhouses down from Jim and Lizzie Jackson, who are enumerated inHousehold #137.
