Services for Ethel Beatrice Sloan were Monday [7 June 1999] at 2:00p.m. in Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, with Randy Gray officiating.
Mrs. Sloan was born at Oswalt on April 26, 1916, and died [Thursday]June 3, 1999, in Burleson, Texas, at the age of 83.
Reared at Oswalt, she married Roy L. Sloan in Ardmore on February 5,1938. Mr. and Mrs. Sloan lived in the Burneyville community from 1938to 1970 when they moved to Kingston where they continued to reside.Mrs. Sloan was a member of the Enos Church of Christ.
She is survived by sons and daughters, Dale Sloan of Morrison, DennisRay Sloan of Ratliff City, Linda Kerley of Burleson and Delpha LeeWard of Mansfield, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sloan was preceded in death by her husband on May 23, 1991 [hisgravestone says 25 May 1991].
Services were directed by Watts Funeral Home with interment inLakeview Cemetery. Casket bearers were Randy Loggins, Pete Smith, BradMoore, Rex Sloan, Jimmy Jackson and Robert Killam. Honorary bearerswere Clinton Ward, Dale Wayne Sloan, Dennis Sloan, Jr., Wesley Sloanand Daniel Sloan
