George's family were living next door to the family of Patience JGreen, whom he later married.  Again in 1880 after they are married, they are still next door, and her mother is shown as the head of thehousehold.  I have not found George's parents, Benjamin Franklin andJudith (Juda/Judea/Judia/Judeah) in the 1870 census.

The Hamrick Data Pages records this family, but reports another childborn before the three reported in this census.

W G McSwain, reported here as born in 1879, does not appear with hisparents in the 1880 census, which seems to indicate he died before the1880 census, at one year or less.

In 1910, we find one of George's aunts living with him and hisyoungest daughter Hattie.  Aunt Candas (Candace?) would probably be asister of his father Benjamin Franklin McSwain.  I do not have all thedata on Ben's family.
