Lucy's age varies wildly in the censuses. She is reported to be 29 in1850, which would mean birth year was abotu 1821. She is 11 yearsyounger than her husband David. Then in 1860, she is 54, making herborn in 1806, and 5 years older than her husband. Ages varyof some ofthe chidlren vary too.

I cannot completely match up the children, which might lead us toconclude that this is a different David and Lucy. David matchesDaniel, and David L seems to be the right name. The Sarah here couldbe either Lucy's mother Sarah Bostic or David's mother (known in mostsources as Susanna Hamrick, but reported in Hamricks of Ireland asSarah Susanna Hamrick). I think it is Lucy's mother, since theHamrick's of Ireland is the only source I ahve seen that adds the nameSarah to Susannah Hamrick McSwain.
