There is a discrepancy in the death date from two sources. Larry'sgravestone in Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel, Arkansas, gives a date of 7Jun 1987. The date reported in the Social Security Death Index,however, is 6 July, 30 days later. You would think the date on thegrave was correct, but records are supposed to be accurate on officialregisters like Social Security. I later discovered that the onlineSSDI info differed form the transcriptoin in the earlier Disk set.The date there was the same as that on the gravestone.

The date in June has also been confirmed by his nephew Russell IrvinMcSwain in personal email correspondence. Russ attended Larry'smilitary funeral.
