Death certificate of Bessie Lee Jackson Brinkley
Bessie Lee Brinkley, born July 27, 1896, Texas; died January 14, 1918,Seymour, Baylor County, Texas; Father Will Jackson, mother Eliza Tate, both born Texas; Occupation Housekeeper; Cause of Death PulmonaryTuberculosis for about 1 year, Contributory: childbirth about 11months ago; informant A W Brinkley; burial Seymour [Woodmen of theWorld] Cemetery 14 January 1918, undertaker W H Gray.
Note that the date of burial reported on the certificate is the sameas the date of death. A curious entry occurs here. The informant forBessie Lee's information for the death certificate is reported as R WBrinkley, which would seem to mean Reuben Wyette Brinkley. But thisis Bessie's son, who was only one year old at the time of her death! This must be an error for R C (Reuben Cole) Brinkley, her husband andReuben Wyette's father.
The Texas Death Index gives its normal, terse report:
Certificate #97
